Ribe Denmark's oldest city - offers a host of experiences for people of all ages.

Here, skies are all, there is plenty of fresh air and world-class nature in and around the Wadden Sea. Each season has quite exceptional experiences to offer visitors. During the spring and summer, one attraction is the night watchman on his rounds in the evocative streets - others are seeing how the Vikings lived 1000 years ago, or just enjoying the atmosphere at the many cafés and restaurants. During the autumn and winter, you can experience the natural phenomenon known as Black Sun, when thousands of migrating birds pause on their journey south, oyster trips in the Wadden Sea, a traditional lead-up to a Danish Christmas against the city's fantastic backdrop - and much more besides. There are exciting activities, museums, art exhibitions, festivals and other festive occasions. You can take a stroll through the medieval heart of the city with its impressive cathedral - or take time off for reflection and enjoying the stillness.
Rømø / Tønder This is where you will discover the wonderful holiday island Rømø with the broadest beaches in Northern Europe, sublime nature and loads of fresh air.

We can offer you good accommodation, and you can let yourself be carried away by the many beautiful towns, cultural diversity and culinary specialities, or visit Tønder, the oldest borough in Denmark. Impressive golf courses, tracks for cycling and horse-back riding, windsurfing or beach sailing give you the opportunity for more active holidays. There’s room for everyone here, and innumerable thrills to be had all year round.
Mandø Mandø Island is located in the Wadden Sea south west of Ribe. Travelling to Mandø Island, the tide sets the stage and the time. Driving to and from the island is only possible when the tide is out.

The tractor busses to Mandø run daily in the summer and, by itself, the bus trip is an adventure. Mandø Island is a true paradise for nature lovers. There are amble opportunities for hiking and biking trips, and should you fall in love with this strangely wonderful place, then it is possible to spend the night at, for instance, the Mandø Centre.
