We drive through the town centre to the harbour, where you on board the motor boat
"Sønderho" will experience the busy life of an offshore, fishery and container harbour and visit the seals in their natural habitat.
We continue to
the Fisheries and Maritime Museum, where you will see the well-known "dinnertable" fish move around in the saltwater aquarium and the seals frisking in the unique sealarium. A seal feeding will also take place.
Furthermore, the museum has a large, exciting open-air exhibition with fishing vessels, dunes, a bunker from World War II etc. (maybe a small refreshment in the cafeteria of the museum).
Then a short visit to the giant sculpture
"Man meets the Sea" on the beach just opposite the museum.
We now continue to
Sædden Church or
Hjerting Church.
Sædden Church is built together with a shopping centre and has a very beautiful starry vault of freely hanging lights. In Hjerting Church the figures on the altar wall are by the artist Robert Jacobsen.
We have lunch at
Hjerting Badehotel beautifully situated right at the Ho Bay. After lunch we return through the green areas to the centre of Esbjerg.
Duration 4 hours.
